Se trata de un switch para redes clásicas por así mencionarlo. Cada vez se lleva más las Gigabit por ser más rápidas y por ello estables. Sin embargo éstas no son soportadas por este modelo, ya que tan solo soporta Ethernet (10Base-T) y FastEthernet (100Base-TX), es decir, 10 y 100mbps.
Una característica a destacar es que utiliza tecnología duplex, puede utilizar tanto...

Ventajas: GigaEthernet , PoE, Configuración facil y muy completa, fibra
Inconvenientes -
...del router o de red FastEthernet 10/100Mb, los típicos RJ45. Además de estos 8 puertos, incluye 2 Puertos GigaEthernet 10/100/1000Mb (también son RJ45, pero a mayor velocidad).
Posee un puerto consola, para acceder al switch por telnet y poder configurarlo adecuadamente.
Ademas de esto posee 2 puertos de fibra óptica.
En la parte delantera tiene todas las entradas RJ45 y en la trasera únicamente posee...

...Os estareis preguntando que es esto del Switch, a mi se me quedó cara de lela cuando el informático me dijo por teléfono, mira el Switch y comprueba que funcione... imaginaros un guichhhhh le llamaba yo, luego pense... pero si la Wii aquí en la oficina no la tenemos, vamos que me reí un rato largo con él.
Después de todo este rollo que os he metido, os diré que es un Switch a mi manera...
