...Bien, por fín me he conectado a internet y he elegido el Kit adsl de telefonica, ¿Por qué? creo que principalmente por los servicios que presta, es una conexión muy regular en el tema de la velocidad, estable, fácil de instalar y no hay problemas con el servicio técnico, pero tienes el problema de por ejemplo, tener que meter los gastos de internet en la misma cuenta que el titular del teléfono, es decir, que Internet también va a nombre del dueño del teléfono, algo que no entiendo, pero hay tantas cosas...
Por lo demás la conexión es sencilla, en pocos minutos está y no tienes mayores problemas para configurarla, la pega, el precio de que hay que pagar por estar conectadoa la red y no ser el único marginado de tu escuela por no tener una conexión a Internet...

...La conexión a Internet a través de línea fija, por ADSL, funciona muy bien. En cambio, por módem USB es un desastre.
Primero tuve contratado el módem USB y la conexión era lentísima, como para desesperarte. Llamé a Soporte Técnico y me atendieron muy bien, estuvieron un buen rato conmigo, pero al final no resolvieron nada.
Luego me pasé al ADSL y es como de la noche al día: ahí sí que la conexión funciona espléndidamente, y sin tener que hacer instalación ninguna: me mandaron el router a casa, me lo conecta yo mismo de un modo muy sencillo, y la velocidad es muy buena, sin problemas.
Una pega: después de contratar el ADSL, me llamó un comercial con el cuento de que iban a regalarme un módem USB, y en realidad te cobraban una tarifa extra por tenerlo. Intentaron metérmela doblada, pero de un modo descarado....

Ventajas: Período de prueba de la conexión de unos dos meses en los que no te pasan ningún cargo a la cuenta.
Inconvenientes Con el aumento de ususarios no está garantizada la velocidad de transferencia.
...INTRODUCCION
Fue mi hermano el primero que se apuntó a ADSL con Terra y tras observar si le funcionaba correctamente, me decidí a solicitarlo.
No contaba con el hecho de que me lo instalaran tan rápidamente (sólo 5 días desde que envié la solicitud por Internet). Para mi sorpresa, también los técnicos se extrañaron de la rapidez con la que se había cursado la solcitud.
VENTAJAS Y DESVENTAJAS
Si bien parece deducirse que a unos les va bien y a otros mal (lo que no es aceptable en una compañía que pretende el liderazgo), debo reconocer que ni a mi hermano ni a mi nos ha dado problema y la conexión es bastante estable. Hemos podido enviar ficheros de longitudes antes inimagibles con el viejo modem de 56K y podemos descargar ficheros en muy poco tiempo.
Incluso puedes programar tareas sin estar en casa, de modo que baje...

La conexión a internet ADSL terra una chapuza

...Llevo más de un mes conectado a Internet por este sistema, y os podeis creer que más de la mitad del ese tiempo estoy sin poder conectarme a la red, pues es la pura verdad. Llevo llamando al servicio de atención al cliente mañana y tarde todos los dia, creo que y conozco a todos los operadores que alli trabajan, y la respuesta es siempre la misma, nosotros no podemos hacer más ya hemos pasado la incidencia a los servicios técnicos, por mi parte la pregunta siguiente pues paseme con los servicios técnicos, respuesta eso no se puede hacer, por que todo esta centralizado en este número y no depende de nosotros . La realidad es que un servicio caro que te obligan a poner el router que ellos quieren, con el precio que les da la gana, y con un alto costo mensual no funciona, de ahi el titulo de mi opinion eso de la ADSL es una autenticas...

Esta vez me he decidido a hablaros de la ADSL de Telefónica que hemos instalada este verano y que hasta ahora nos va estupendamente.
Antes teníamos una tarifa plana de telefónica también, pero que aunque nos permitía entrar en internet no nos valia porque teníamos problemas entre nosotros, los de casa, no con la tarifa.
Durante el día, por lo general, sólo yo estoy en casa y siempre estoy conectada y antes con la tarifa plana eso nos perjudicaba bastante porque si llamaban a casa el teléfono no sonaba y a no ser que insistieran mucho (llamando incluso 4 o 5 veces seguidas) la conexción no se cortaba y por lo tanto no cogía el teléfono y por otro ldo tampoco nos permitía conectar los 2 ordenadores a la vez a internet.
Así que este verano cuando nos llamaron de telefónica con la oferta del ADSL nos decidimos...

ADSL ¿¿24 horas en internet??
Ventajas: rápida, cómoda....

...¿¿nos pasamos las 24 horas en internet?? yo no, de echo, no paso ni 6 horas frente al ordenador... la verdad es que es una gozada poder navegar con esta rapidez, las descargas de p2p también son velozes (y las entradas de virus también), pero el precio debería ser más bajo... no?¿ O tal vez es mas racomendable la tarifa plana de adsl... ( a mí me iría mejor, pero no me quejo jejeje)
Yo estoy contenta con este servicio (mucho mejor que wannado) y tampoco es tan caro a la hora de pagar, incluye la ventaja de poder hablar por telefono mientras navegas, i en familias numerosas sí es recomendable esta tarifa ya que el ordenador está en funcionamiento practicamente todo el día.
Yo he comparado este tipo de conexión con otros tipos (tarifa plana 24 horas etc) y yo no podría con la lentitud i mal funcionamiento de esas conexiones (no...

Antes de comentarios mi expreciencia conviene saber qué significa ADSL. Sus siglas significa "Asymetric Digital Subscriber Line" = Linea de abonado Asimetrica Digital. Es una tecnologia que permite el acceso a Internet y una transmision de datos en forma digital a grandes velocidades a través del cable de cobre de la línea de teléfono normal. Lo de "Asymetric" significa que la velocidad de bajada y la de subida son diferentes. Por regla general, la velocidad de bajada es el doble que la velocidad de subida. Al ser digital no interfiere con el teléfono (que es un medio analógico), lo que permite hablar por telefono y estar conectado a Internet al mismo tiempo.

Ventajas: Funciona correctamente
Inconvenientes No es oro todo lo que reluce y el precio
...la baja ya basta, y que vaya llamando para ver si ya se ha dado de baja correctamente. Pues bien, pasa 1 mes, ya estamos en navidades, y aún no tengo la baja, eso si, pagando y sin disfrutar de Internet. Cada vez que llamo me dicen que ellos mismos harán las gestiones y que el día siguiente me llamarían. Aún estoy esperando la llamada. Llegamos en enero, ya 2 meses sin ADSL, pero pagando.
Consigo que me pasen con el servicio de bajas (un servicio que según los teleoperadores funciona según qué semanas... ¡increíble!). El comercial de ese servicio me da un número de fax que según él en 24 horas te dan de baja automáticamente. Pensé, ¡por fin! Pues no, pasa 1 semana y sigo con el ADSL. Vuelvo a ponerme en contacto con este servicio y me dicen que el número de fax es de 1 comercial y no te telefónica, que vuelva a enviarles el fax...

ADSL 6 MB de Vodafone
Ventajas: Buena velocidad.
Inconvenientes Cortes. Demasiado caro.
...¿Por qué nos pasamos a Vodafone?
Pues porque era el más barato, jejeje.
El caso es que antes teníamos ONO, pero tuvimos que mudarnos y como en el nuevo piso no llega la famosa fibra óptica tuvimos que elegir ADSL por narices.
La contratación
Cuando en la web te dicen que puedes tener internet en casa desde el primer día que lo contratas, sin esperar a que te den la línea de alta, es totalmente cierto. El pack que te entregan contiene el router y una llave USB de esas con las que puedes conectar un portátil a internet en cualquier sitio.
Lo que hay que hacer durante esos primeros días en los que aún no tienes línea es conectar esa llave USB al router y listo. Recibes internet desde el USB y lo mejor es que no te cobran durante los días en los que lo estás usando.
Al cabo de unos días nos llamaron para avisarnos...
